Research & Surveys

Inovaplus undertakes practical research into technology, skills, infrastructure and the needs of specialist sectors and communities.

Our research is designed to gather real-world evidence that can inform technical standards, training and skills development, guidance, project design and investment decisions.

Research may be undertaken independently by Inovaplus or commissioned in partnership with other organisations.

Current Research

Volunteer Audio Technical Skills Research 2026

Inovaplus is researching how practical audio skills are learned, developed and recognised by volunteers and grassroots practitioners in churches, community venues and other organisations.

The research is being undertaken for the Association of Worship & Venue Technicians CIC (AWVT) and will help establish evidence about current skills, training, progression and competency needs.

Research in Development

Inovaplus develops research and consultation projects around practical technology, technical skills, infrastructure and organisational needs.

Projects currently being developed will be added here as their scope and participation arrangements are confirmed.

Published Research & Findings

Results from completed research will be published here where appropriate.

Findings may be presented as research reports, technical briefings, recommendations or supporting evidence for standards, training frameworks and project development.

Commissioning & Collaboration

Inovaplus can support organisations that need to understand a technical problem, sector requirement or stakeholder need before deciding what to build, fund or implement.

This can include research design, questionnaires and surveys, stakeholder consultation, evidence gathering, analysis, technical interpretation and preparation of findings for different audiences.

For enquiries about research or collaboration, please contact Inovaplus.
